Regional Systems
As our world evolves and expands, we increasingly live in an environment comprised of systems within systems. Mass transit is no exception. Commuters often use more than one agency to complete their journey. Each transit agency, however, has its own set of rules and tariff structure.
Scheidt & Bachmann has implemented numerous large regional systems throughout the US including:
- Massachusetts (11 agencies)
- Pittsburgh Region (4 agencies)
- Phoenix Area (3 agencies)
Each of these regional systems comprises a multitude of agencies each able to achieve fare media interoperability and to reconcile transactions across the greater network.
